Call for Poster Presentations

ASE Annual Conference 2017 @ Reading University

To be on display any time from Wednesday 4th to Saturday 7th January 2017

We welcome posters to contribute the Saturday 9th January session on Research in Science Education (in the Carrington building)

The contributions can focus on:

  • teacher education
  • early years education,
  • primary education
  • secondary education
  • curriculum development and evaluation
  • pedagogy
  • learning and assessment in science

 

We are inviting contributions from undergraduate final year students; Masters students; Doctoral students; teacher educators, teachers, involved with any aspects of teaching, learning and leadership in (primary or secondary) science classrooms.

Submissions

Please submit the poster electronically (in PDF format) to the ASE through members of the research committee : dmcgregor@brookes.ac.uk,  f.j.woodhouse@hud.ac.uk

It would be helpful if you can include your (current) research questions and rationale, background to the study, methods, findings and references. It is also fine if you have ‘work-in-progress’ to present on.

Please bring with you an extended abstract or an A5 summary of the poster for interested readers to take away. Any poster presenters will be invited to write-up their work also be included in EiS or EiS Extra

Your poster should:

 

be A0 size, portrait or Landscape
  • be preferably in colour
  • include the project title, key aims and outcomes, any research methodology, evaluation approaches, evidence, findings, recommendations, key references
  • use a range of photographs, diagrams, text etc.
  • include contact details
  • linked website and information for any associated resources that are available

 

The deadline for abstract and title of poster (max. 250 words) submission is September 30th  2016
