National Women in Engineering Week 2016

National Women in Engineering Day (#NWED2016) is now an International awareness campaign to raise the profile of women in engineering and focus on the amazing career opportunities available to girls in this exciting industry. It takes place annually on 23 June. It's your day so get involved. In 2016 we celebrate NWED for the third year, and it just happens to coincide with the referendum this year!

The sub-theme for 2016 is #RaisingProfiles and to celebrate this theme we are issuing a list of the
Top 50 Women in Engineering, to be published in the daily Telegraph on 23 June 2016.
Our 2016 Resource Pack is now available. Download or request your copy here. - See more at: http://www.nwed.org.uk/?utm_source=NWED2016+Update+1+June+2016&utm_campaign=NWED+Launch&utm_medium=email#sthash.hDWmNoaL.dpuf

Welcome to this National Women in Engineering Day update

With less than a month to go to #NWED2016 on 23 June we hope that you have all got something planned - however big or small - to celebrate the day.

If you are still looking for some ideas then please take a look at the NWED website. There are plenty of things on there for everybody, whether you are taking action yourself, attending an event, or just supporting the day on social media.

If you haven't already received your 2016 #NWED2016 resource packs then it is not too late, and it is also available to download from our website at www.nwed.org.uk. If you would like copies of any of the contents to give away to students on the day then please let us know at nwed@wes.org.uk as soon as possible.

And don't forget to let us know what you are doing and we will feature your event on our website.
