UK charity Greenpower Education Trust is inviting schools to enter the Greenpower Challenge!
The challenge is a national competition where children design, build and race an electric car. There are three age categories
The competition is open to all schools.
The Greenpower Challenge (aimed at Key Stage 3 children aged 11-14 yrs), uses the exhilaration of motorsport to inspire young people to excel in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM).
Siemens’ outreach programme, the Curiosity Project, aims to highlight the excitement that a job in engineering can bring and show that anyone can be an engineer if they study these subjects. Research by Siemens has shown that 90% of students participating in the challenge intend to go on studying science.
