Herschel - Planck wallcharts
Herschel - Planck wallcharts
Herschel
is the largest space telescope ever to be launched. It is part of a 1.9 billion Euro project to image the universe at IR wavelengths, carrying 2300 litres of liquid helium to cool its sensors for three years.
Planck
is a high resolution rotating telescope that will map the entire sky at microwave wavelengths.
STFC has produced two fabulous wall charts for schools that are agreat teaching resources for the e-m spectrum, thermodynamics and astronomy.
