BBSRC is pleased to announce the launch of the third edition of ‘Stem Cells: Science and Ethics’.
The booklet has been designed to be used in secondary school classrooms, in particular with ‘A’ level and Higher/Advanced higher students. It includes up-to-date information about stem cell research both from a scientific perspective and ethical and legal perspectives. Throughout the booklet there are activities and discussion questions to help students to explore the issues, as well as suggestions for further reading.

The booklet was produced in collaboration with the Scottish Initiative for Biotechnology Education who themselves collaborated with the Institute of Stem Cell Research, MRC Centre for regenerative Medicine and the School of Law (SCRIPT) all based at the University of Edinburgh.
