The Science Museum offers two one-day courses for Early Years and KS1 teachers.
‘Teaching Science in the Early Years’ explores how creative approaches can be used in science and provides innovative activities that will give children first-hand experience of exploration, observation and problem-solving.
‘Science and Stories’ will help you use storytelling to bring out science concepts and vocabulary.
Each costs just £130 per person, including refreshments, lunch and goody bag.
The Museum can also organise a bespoke practical, hands-on day for whole-school staff, covering all you need to know about making the most of museums and embedding school trips into your classroom learning. Costs just £680 for up to 20 staff (refreshments not included).
All courses are delivered by the Museum’s experienced Learning Team and make use of the Museum’s unique facilities and resources. Each programme has been developed in consultation with teachers and educational specialists to ensure it will meet your needs and national priorities.
