Science Museum CPD 14-16 teachers

The Science Museum offers a range of one-day courses for KS4 teachers. Each focuses on a key area of the Science curriculum, including:

• new materials and nanotechnology

• leading effective discussions on topical science issues

• engaging students with the science of genetics

• maximising learning during school visits.

The cost for each course is £130 per person, including refreshments, lunch and goody bag.

Alongside these, check out the Museum’s new How Science Works Scheme. See the weblink below for more details.

The Museum can also organise a bespoke practical, hands-on day for your staff, covering all you need to know about making the most of museums and embedding school trips into your classroom learning. Costs just £680 for up to 20 staff (refreshments not included).

All courses are delivered by the Museum’s experienced Learning Team and make use of the Museum’s unique facilities and resources. Each programme has been developed in consultation with teachers and educational specialists to ensure it will meet your needs and national priorities.
