The Royal College of Pathologists is offering free STEM activity sessions for schools – 12th January and 25th February
Primary teachers and secondary science teachers are invited to a special online workshop on 12 January, where you’ll learn how to run four simple STEM enrichment activities about the human body and disease.
A second session on 25th February will be for your students to try out the activities, and to ask pathologists questions about the topics and what they do in their jobs.
The workshop on 12th January will be led by public engagement consultant, Dr Sai Pathmanathan who developed these activities to explore pathology, which is the study of disease. Pathology involves specialist doctors and scientists who have fascinating jobs. The workshop will be run on Zoom and all you'll need are a few everyday materials like paperclips and paper to try out the activities during the demo – see the event booking page for more information and to book.
The activities for this session are taken from our new resource pack, 'Choose your own pathology adventure'. They use everyday materials and equipment like stationery and kitchen items.
