These two short activities develop pupils understanding of why energy is essential if we are to achieve the new Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), or Global Goals as they are also called.
They are aimed at students aged 8-11 years working in groups of 4-5. The activities last about 1 hour in total, looking at how energy is important for everyone in today’s world and what is being done to help some of the poorest people in the world get energy.
They were developed with Think Global to form part of a package of lessons entitled 'The world's largest lesson'. All 27 lessons are hosted on the World's Largest Lesson website.
