The Squashed Tomato Challenge is a hands-on and brains-on activity


 

It is suited to KS2-5 and perfect for the National Science and Engineering Week, STEM clubs, collapsed curriculum timetable days and other enrichment activities.



The Problem
: how to transport tomatoes from a mountainside in Nepal to the market below



The Challenge
: to design and build a model system that can transport tomatoes without squashing them.
