My mum, dad and big sister, Ayesha, are birders and by the time I came along Ayesha had become the youngest person to see 400 birds in Britain age 12. When I was born, they took me everywhere birding with them. When I was old enough to decide for myself,
nature was what I was interested in and birding was what I wanted to do.
