How an arm works

Target age range: 11-14.

Investigate the basics of biomechanics and antagonistic muscle pairs through this module. Students will look at where different types of lever exist in the body, as well as learn how to explain what an antagonistic muscle pair is. This module also brings to life their understanding of how muscles work with the skeleton to create movement through a hands-on model arm building activity.
