Regreen the desert is a great new STEM challenge from Practical Action!
Designed for ages 7-14 pupils use their STEM skills to provide a solution for a community in Sudan suffering from drought as a result of climate change. After exploring how water pressure works pupils design and build a simple irrigation system. To download the free teaching materials go to

The challenge was written to support Practical Action’s DFID Aid match campaign ‘Turn the tables on climate change.’ To find out more about the campaign go to practicalaction.org/turn-the-tables
